Rev. Todd Gates

Todd was raised in Columbus, Ohio where he graduated from Northland High School (Go Vikings). He received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing Education from Bowling Green State University in 1983. There he played football (earning All Conference, Honorable Mention All American and Team MVP awards). After graduation Todd worked in public and corporate education, including an overseas position in the United Arab Emirates.

Todd married Ginny in 1988 and they have 4 children; Lucas, Mitchel, Clayton and Chloe. Todd received a call to ministry in 1993. He and Ginny sold their home and headed for Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore Kentucky. Todd graduated from seminary with a Masters in Divinity in 1996.

While in seminary he commuted to Ohio pastoring a church, founded and edited The Asbury Witness a student journal, and had a secondary emphasis area in Christian Journalism. Todd received his ordination in 1996.

While in pastoral ministry Todd has led many recurring short-term mission teams to Haiti, Mexico and the Navajo Reservation among others. He also led multiple recovery missions to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. Todd has led ministry with the focus on Men, Fathers and Disabled Veterans. He is also actively involved in advocating for the disabled, since his son Mitchel has severe Autism.

In 2010 Todd left the pulpit serving the local church to focus on his gift of writing. He is president of Gates Content Services which specializes in written materials for churches, non-profits and businesses. Todd, Ginny, Mitchel and Chloe now live in Marysville ,Ohio

Dr. Thomas Schwind

Tom was born and raised in Bowling Green, Ohio which is in Northwest Ohio near Toledo. Tom Graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, focusing on finance and marketing.  After graduation from BGSU, he  worked in the Finance department of Ford Motor Credit Company in Worthington, Ohio.  Tom married Beth, who, fittingly, he met at the Chautauqua Institute during a conference on Christian Leadership.  Married 24 years now, they have 3 boys, Michael (19) a sophomore at Indiana Wesleyan University, Andrew (16) and Wesley (14).  Also, included in the family are 2 miniature dachshunds named Brownie and Oreo.

Following his marriage to Beth, Tom began answering his call to ministry.  They left Ohio while he attended Asbury Theological Seminary where received his Masters of Divinity degree in 1994.  He was ordained in 1993 and served churches in western Ohio until, following God’s further leading, he founded Sycamore View Ministries.  In 2012 he received his Doctorate of Ministry from Gordon Theological Seminary under the leadership of Dr. Robert Coleman.   His emphasis of study was Discipleship and Mentoring as well as teaching the Great Commission Life-Style.  Then in October, 2013 Tom earned his Certified Christian Coaching Certificate from the prestigious Coach Approach Ministries.
